Shearwater Health Forges Strategic Alliances with West Metro Medical Center and Cagayan De Oro Medical Center to Strengthen Nursing Programs

In a significant stride towards fortifying the nursing ecosystem in the Philippines, Shearwater Health announces its recent partnership contracts with West Metro Medical Center and Cagayan De Oro Medical Center. The signing ceremonies took place on November 8, 2023, at Zamboanga, and December 5, 2023, at Cagayan De Oro City, respectively.

Shearwater Health's Chief Operating Officer and Country Manager, Anshum Sinha, played a pivotal role in sealing these alliances. During the signing in Zamboanga, Shearwater Health Program Manager, Docefil Torio, represented the organization, while Anshum Sinha himself presided over the signing in Cagayan De Oro.

Meanwhile, in Zamboanga, the team received a cordial reception from West Metro Medical Center's Chief Operating Officer, Joseph Michael Nepomuceno, and Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Armando Lorenzo, Jr.

During the event in Cagayan De Oro, Anshum Sinha emphasized the critical role of local partnerships in bolstering programs that enhance the skills development of nurses. He highlighted the importance of maintaining a sustainable nursing ecosystem in the Philippines.

One of the key initiatives discussed during these events was the implementation of the Managed Migration and Back-to-Bedside Program. This program aims to provide essential support for the career advancement of nurses at West Metro Medical Center, simultaneously addressing the persistent nurse shortage faced by hospitals.
